I was briefed by the Theories of Atlantis team to design a wheel for one of their riders Aaron Herrington - They requested that this fall in the tone of their brand.
Their brand revolves around the idea of the dial tone and the different places you can get the call to hit the streets. This dial tone, usually coming from within urban areas found at off-the-hook pay phones - This is a call back to the style of skating their riders lean towards as well. Not perfect California ground and spots but skating what’s around you and finding things that are unique.
I wanted to bring a little humor to this wheel and always adored the bananas phone, this was the chosen direction.
admittedly the printing got a bit flooded but overall the wheels were well received by the general public.
